Domestive Violence informational workshop

This month is Domestic Violence Awareness Month (and yesterday, Oct. 13, was the official day), so the Bronx district attorney's office is offering a free informative workshop about domestic violence.

The workshop is an interactive forum where participants and experts discuss the various aspects that surround the issue. Speakers educate participants on subjects including: the resources available to victims, the impact domestic violence has on families, preventative measures and warning signs potential victims should look out for.

The forum will be held in the Bronx DA's office Thursday, Oct. 20 at 198 East 161st Street, on the third floor litigation training room.

Participants do have to register for the event. To find out more about the workshop, contact Marques Johnson, special projects coordinator, at (718)-838-7005 or go to www.bronxda.nyc.gov
